The Fertility Advisor Review

One thing that I learned pretty quickly about myself through this process, before I even started seeing a fertility specialist was that I was/am willing to do about anything to increase my chances of getting pregnant. I mean I stood on my head in the middle of my living room, I had Reiki-ssage done, I took different vitamins, every little piece of advice that people would give me to try I would do it whether it be purely anecdotal or backed by years of research.

Thanks to the wonderful world of social media I've been able to connect with so many unbelievable women with such powerful stories and experiences.  One woman that I connected with via Instagram is Dr. Smita Parikh, also known as The Fertility Advisor.  She reached out to me after seeing some of my posts & we talked about doing a consultation to see if there was more information that she could provide me about my own infertility journey and alternative treatments.  I'll give you a little back story and some information on Smita before I go any farther with my experience.

Dr. Smita Parikh received her MD from Tufts School of Medicine in Boston and trained in Internal Medicine.  She also completed a fellowship in Clinical Innovation where she learned about the best ways to use technology to activate and engage patients in their own healthcare.  On a personal level, she struggled with infertility and explored numerous treatments including both natural and medical therapies to get pregnant. This girl knows her stuff!

Young and beautiful too!

As soon as we started talking on the phone I immediately loved her.  You feel like you're talking to a super smart, close friend.  She doesn't scare you with medical terms that you can't understand, everything that she said I understood.  Right off the bat I started taking notes & one of the first things she said to me was "don't worry about taking notes, I will send you an overview of everything we discuss".  She had already won me over!  The information was given in a very organized fashion.  She went from her story, to my story, then to different supplements I could try, other alternative treatments, diet, exercise, & stress levels.  Her entire presentation of information transitioned very well.  Her goals were clear, she wants to educate her patients and be a reliable resource to them and she accomplishes that very well.

Overall, I was very pleased with the information that I received from Smita.  I would highly recommend her to anyone who is going through the infertility process.  Even if you are happy with your doctor and the way the process is going, I guarantee she will have some suggestions that your doctor hasn't told you.  If you are an IVF patient or considering IVF then I would recommend her even more because she has been through it and has been successful.  Remember, she's Dr. Smita Parikh so she really knows her stuff.

You can check out her website here for more information.  For a free 30 minute consultation email Smita at info@thefertilityadvisor.com.  She will provide you with a full list of her services and fees.

I would like to thank her for the opportunity for the consultation and introduce her as my newest sponsor on the blog.  She will be a great edition.  If you are on an infertility journey of your own I urge you to check out her website and shoot her an email.
